Following the completion of a master plan design for the entire FIBA Alemdag new district, we were commissioned to design the residential buildings for the initial phases of the development. The development brief required a diver- sity of apartment types and sizes, ranging from multi-storey apartment buildings, villas and simplex / duplex units. Each residential typology was carefully planned to meet the market objectives and commercial area drivers. Buildin- gs were positioned on the challenging topography of the Alemdag site to optimize views, create safe and practical access, and to integrate surrounding road and landscape designs. The site design was a complex three dimensional challenge which has been responded to with a fully integrated buil- ding, public realm and landscape design solution.
